History of Baseball.

The earliest known reference of Baseball was from England in 1744 when the game was known as Rounders. Rounders was a game played between two teams each alternating between batting and fielding. It was not called baseball until author John Newbery wrote "A Little Pretty Pocket-Book" in which refered to the game. It was a striking and fielding team game, which involves hitting a small, hard, leather-cased ball with a round wooden, plastic or metal bat and then running around four bases in order to score. In theory, it is a descendant of the bat and ball games played by our "cavemen" ancestors. This theory is a result of the observation that there is no culture in the world that does not have some form of a bat and ball game.
